International Students without a U.S. Co-Signer

Harvard recognized that many international students do not have access to a U.S. cosigner and would have difficulty obtaining a loan for study in the United States. To meet this need, Harvard sought proposals from lenders through an open Request for Information process.  Please see the information below on loans to international students.  We regret that students in OFAC Sanctioned Countries may not be eligible for these loan programs.

Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU)
To ensure international students access to loan capital Harvard University entered into a risk-share arrangement with the HUECU. This loan program does not require a borrower to have a US Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).  Information about loan terms and loan applications can be found here
